Valtteri Bottas to Join Alfa Romeo in 2022
Huge F1 has emerged involving the top F1 team at the moment, Mercedes. Bottas’ time with Mercedes will come to an end in 2022, saying peace to the team he was at since 2016. The Finnish F1 Driver who currently drives for Mercedes will join Alfa Romeo. This emerges as Kimi Räikkönen, a fellow Finland native will retire from the F1 who currently drives for Alfa Romeo with Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi.
Bottas started his racing career in the F3, where he was the test driver for Williams in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Then finally in 2013, Bottas drove for Williams Racing officially in which he did so until 2016. He would then join Mercedes in 2016 where his successful F1 career would take off.
Bottas has won 9 races, 3 in 2017, 4 in 2019 and 2 in 2020. He also has 63 podiums.
Driving for Alfa Romeo will most likely lead to a whole British racing cohort at Mercedes with George Russell looking to take the ranks at Mercedes, replacing Valtteri Bottas. It is has been reported that George Russell has been contacted about being Lewis Hamilton’s partner at Mercedes. However, nothing is official yet from both parties as of yet.
