No Ballon d’Or for 2020

After a mesmerising 2019 Ballon d’Or which saw Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk lose to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi narrowly, the Ballon d’Or for this year has been postponed.
This is the first cancellation of the worlds best football award since 1956, due to ‘lack of sufficient fair conditions’.
