Manchester City Champions League Ban Lifted
A good news for City fans, as their beloved club will be playing European football next season.
In February, the club were found guilty of the Financial Fair Play regulations, in which Manchester City were set to appeal. This would set them back from two years of Champions League football.
The ban was lifted by the Court of Arbitration of Sport, and the fine was reduced to a cost of 9.87 million Euros, which is of no worries to Manchester City.
UEFA concluded that their wasn’t enough evidence and that they remained committed to their principles on Financial Fair Play.
This now means that the heat on fifth place is now on a Europa League spot.
Manchester City is not off the hook yet, they are still under the midst of investigation by the Premier League as well. They currently sit second in the Premier League.
