Lauri Markkanen Signs for the Cavaliers in a 3 way team deal

The Cavaliers have acquired Chicago Bulls free agent Lauri Markkanen on a $67 million 4 year deal. The Cavaliers are also sending Larry Nance Jr. to the Trail Blazers and the Bulls will receive a second round pick in the 2023 draft from the Cavs (via Nuggets).

Portland will also send Derrick Jones Jr. and a lottery-protected 2022 first round pick to the Bulls.

Markkanen averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds last season at the Chicago Bulls. He was also selected in the All-Rookie First Team in 2018. He was at the Bulls from 2017-2021.

While this will be Larry Nance Jr’s third club. He has played for the Lakers, Cavaliers and now the Trail Blazers. Whilst Derrick Jones Jr. has played for the Suns, Heat, Trail Blazers and now the Bulls.
