Daniel Ricciardo To Leave McLaren At 2022 End

Veteran Australian Daniel Ricciardo has announced on his Instagram, the inevitable, that he will be leaving McLaren at the end of the 2022 season. The former Red Bull and Renault man only won 1 race in his 2 year tenure at McLaren, that race being in Italy.

However, this season has not been the most free riding for the Australian. Ricciardo has failed to finish in the top 10 in 9 of 13 races this season.

Ricciardo mentioned in a statement on his Instagram that ” “I’ve enjoyed working with everyone at McLaren both trackside and back in Woking and will be giving my all on and off track as we enjoy the remainder of the season together”.

Ricciardo is linked with a move to Alpine and Haas. Aston Martin has a free spot after Alonso is set to replace Vettel’s spot at Aston Martin.
