Apollon outclassed by Polish giants!

Nicosia was the host of the UEFA Europa League qualifying match between Apollon and Lech Poznan, both sides have big history in their respective countries.

This is another encounter between a Cypriot and Polish club in qualifying, as Omonia defeated Legia in their Champions League qualifying. However, this was not meant to be as Apollon were thrashed 5-0 at home to Lech Poznan. This is Apollon’s first competitive loss of the season and a huge blow to their season as they are without European football once again.
