Andrew Bogut Retires From Professional Basketball

One of Australia’s most iconic basketball players has retired at the age of 36. Bogut was the number 1 pick in 2005 and spent 7 years at the Bucks. As a rookie he was named in the All-Rookie First Time.

He was then traded to the Golden State Warriors, where during his 4 year stint he won an NBA championship.

In 2016, he played in Dallas for a season and then joined the Cavaliers for a brief stint.

California came calling again as he headed to Los Angeles to play with the Lakers for a season.
After a brilliant career in the NBA, Bogut returned to native Australia to play for the Sydney Kings from 2018 until his retirement. During this time he was named as the MVP in his first season.

In the 2019 off season in Australia he went back to the Warriors losing in the NBA Finals to the Raptors.

In the 2020 season he helped the Kings grab the minor premiership.
