A promising start in Portugal provides an exciting race!

The start of the Portugal race delivered drama within the first lap. Verstappen hit Stroll which was overturned. A great start for Sainz put him in poll position for a few laps of the race. Early rain drops made many of the cars slide across the track.
Raikonnen jumped to 6th place and had a surprisingly great start to the race. On top of this, Bottas was 1st place before being overtaken by Hamilton.
Stroll received a 5 second penalty for hitting Lando Norris. He also received another 5 seconds for exceeding track limits. He would end up retiring the car and be out of the race in lap 55.
The Haas F1 team will release Grosjean and Magnussen following the end of the racing period for 2020. Leclerc also had a great race maintaining a podium finish and then 4th position in the Ferrari car.
Perez and Gasly had great races finishing 7th and 5th respectively.
A huge blow for both Albon and Norris who do not get points in this race, maintaining their places in the racers championship.
Kvyat also received a track limit 5 second penalty. Hamilton, Bottas and Verstappen finished in the top 3 for the 7th time this season. Hamilton now has the most wins in F1 history with 92 race wins.
